Parents Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does my child need to bring a lunch or money for my lunch?
A: No. Lunch is provided and the cost is included in the registration fee.
Q: Is there a place for me to buy lunch or a soda at the ballpark?
A: Yes. There will be a stand open which will offer sandwiches, snacks, sodas
and bottled water between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM each day of camp.
Q: Are the three baseball camps different?
A: No. All three baseball camps provide instruction in pitching, hitting and fielding. Children in each camp play games and receive souvenirs, camp T-shirt and bat.
Q: Is childcare available from the end of camp until the parents pick up their camper?
A: No. Parents or guardians must be here to collect campers before 2:00 PM when the camp is over. Campers are released each day between 1:30 PM and 1:45 PM to obtain autographs on the first two days of camp. There will be someone at the gate to check parents/guardians in and out until 2:15 PM. At that time, any campers who have not been picked up will be taken inside with the camp coordinator to await their rides.
Q: Do I have to wear the assigned pass to gain access to the ballpark during the camp?
A: Yes. Due to our strict security measures to ensure the safety of your campers, we require any adult who is inside the ballpark during camp to wear the pass.
Q: Do I have to pick up my camper(s) at the gate?
A: Yes. Whoever is picking up campers must have the camp pass and come inside the gates to pick up the camper(s). We will then check with each camper as they leave to make sure they are with the person who is responsible for picking them up.
Q: My child is coming to camp with a friend and they want to be in the same group during camp. Is this possible?
A: Yes. Camp participants are divided into age groups (7-9, 10-12 and 13-14) but your child is free to join his friend if their ages are not within the same age group. You may want to consider by their size, which group they will want to be in.
Q: May parents/guardians stay and watch?
A: Yes. Parents are welcome to sit in the assigned seating bowl section and watch the camps. You are also welcome to go down onto the warning track and observe, but must wear flat-heeled shoes (no high heels or platforms), preferably sneakers. Food, blankets or strollers are not permitted on the warning track.
